Facilitation Skills & Process Design

From in-depth training of cohorts of conflict-sensitive deliberative dialogue facilitators in Myanmar, to courses for graduate students in conflict transformation and restorative justice, to skills building workshops for professionals, I develop tailored trainings on how to design and facilitate dialogue, deliberation and decision-making. Participants develop knowledge, skills and confidence to lead groups in settings ranging from routine organizational development to societal change processes. For groups working in deeply rooted conflict, a focus on peacebuilding and systems transformation can be integrated into the training agenda.

Strategic Negotiation & Consensus Building

These workshops focus on principles and practices for reaching consensual agreements to address contested issues in complex contexts, in ways that both support constructive and healthy working relationships while developing innovative agreements that meet the basic needs and interests of all involved.

Working with conflict: analysis & resolution

From academic classes, to civil society trainings, to applied joint analysis workshops for groups struggling to create effective strategies for conflict transformation, I can work with you to understand the sources of conflict, its dynamics and ways of working with it to effectively resolve conflicts and transform the systems giving rise to it.

Peacemaking, peace processes & national dialogue

I have lead numerous training programs for diplomats, governmental officials, armed insurgents, civil society leaders and graduate students exploring the underpinnings for inclusive and sustainable peace processes and societal transformation. Complex adaptive human systems & systems mapping

I offer trainings and workshops in complexity theory and systems thinking, drawing on concepts, principles and methods from my ongoing project on transforming conflict habituated systems.
